Gameplay & Controls
- Swipe mode: swipe up the lane to throw. Faster swipes throw the ball harder, and curving your swipe adds hook. A purely sideways swipe only adjusts your aim and does not throw the ball.
- Tilt Hook mode: tilt your device to add hook to the throw. This mode needs a motion sensor; if your device doesn't have one, the game stays in Swipe mode.
- You can switch between Swipe and Tilt Hook using the control-mode toggle on screen.
- A game is 10 frames with standard bowling scoring.
Game Center / Leaderboards
- Leaderboards use Apple Game Center. Sign in to Game Center in your device's Settings to take part.
- Your final score is submitted when you complete a full 10-frame game.
- If you are not signed in to Game Center, you can still play, but scores won't be posted to the leaderboard.
- Leaderboard updates can take a short while to appear.
Ads
- Strike Lane Bowling is free to play and supported by ads served through Google AdMob.
- A full-screen ad may appear after you finish a game. Ads are not shown in the middle of a game.
- If an ad won't close or seems stuck, try closing and reopening the app.
- See our Privacy Policy for how advertising services may use data.
Troubleshooting
- Game not responding or looks wrong: fully close the app and reopen it.
- Leaderboard not loading: check your internet connection and confirm you are signed in to Game Center.
- Tilt controls not working: make sure your device supports motion sensing, then try switching to Swipe mode and back.
- Still having problems: update to the latest version of the app and iOS, restart your device, or contact us at the email above.
